AIBD-MI: Ronald R. Ressler is currently the Michigan President of AIBD-MI and has served on the Board as Vice President for 3 years from 2004 -2006 and Preident for 3 years from 2007-present. Member since 2001.
The Michigan Society of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD-MI)– the Michigan Society is a nonprofit professional organization of building designers established in 1992.
The mission of AIBD-MI is:
- to promote the development of member building design professionals through their acquisition of skills and knowledge;
- to enhance the practice of these professionals through providing continuing education and movement towards their certification as a Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD);
- to protect and enhance the right of our members to practice effectively in the State of Michigan through partnering and working with like-minded trade, governmental, and professional organizations; through active participation in legislative processes; by providing supportive products and services; and by engaging in public relations to communicate our high quality standards in the design and construction of residential buildings;
- to hold our society and its members to the highest ethical, professional, and quality standards as incorporated in our Bylaws, Code of Ethics, and educational requirements.
NCBDC: Member since 2001. Ronald R. Ressler is a Certified Professional Building Designer through the NCBDC.
The NCBDC Accreditation Program certifies competency of professional building designers in ethics, procedures, architectural styling, structural engineering and construction principles, processes, materials and methods. Certification as a CPBD and the authorized use of our certification mark, assures consumers and other industry professionals that the person has met the critical requirements of a Certified Professional Building Designer.
AIBD: Member since 2001. Ron recently joined the Board of Directors in 2009 as the National Central District Director.
The American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), a nonprofit professional organization established in 1950, is dedicated to the development, recognition, and enhancement of the profession of building design.
